Atalanta narrowly defeat Chievo
ChievoVerona have lost 1-0 in Bergamo, the goal coming from Moralez after 72 minutes from outside the area.
The home team start well. After 15 minutes referee Tommasi disallows a Moralez goal that Bonaventura had assisted. 27 minutes and Chievo put together a good counter-attack when Théréau passes to Pellissier on the left, but the defence closes him down. In the 35th minute Vacek tries with a huge shot that goes just over the bar. In the last ten minutes of the first half Atalanta are in charge, with Denis, Moralez and Schelotto looking dangerous.
The second half begins with a chance for Chievo following a Bradley free kick which Frey heads over the bar. 65 minutes and the home team nearly score when Denis's header just misses. 72 minutes and Atalanta go ahead when Schelotto runs forty metres up the right and passes to Moralez who blasts the ball past Sorrentino.
Di Carlo's team has its next match on Saturday against Cagliari at Trieste's Nereo Rocco stadium.
