Lodi gives Catania victory
At Desenzano's Tre Stelle stadium today there was a foretaste of next season's Serie A campaign. In a match affected by the hot weather there were good performances, notably from Cruzado, Paloschi and Pellissier in the first half which ended goalless. There was a chance for Biagianti towards the end, putting an opportunity given by Bergessio just wide.
Five minutes into the second half, Catania went ahead thanks to a Lodi penalty awarded by Tommasi for Morero's foul on Morimoto. There were other chances for the Gialloblù and Di Michele had a good second half, but it was the opponents who had the best chance for another goal, Morimoto after 81 minutes. A penalty stopped by Luciano ended the test for Di Carlo's team against a Catania side that got the win. The first part of the Gialloblù summer preparations now end, and they start again after two days off next Tuesday in Peschiera.
