Highlights Chievo - Inter: ending hard to swallow
That the time was ripe for Inter to get back on track was always a possibility – that the moment would fall in the match with Chievo was not what Chievo fans had counted on. However, Inter took to the pitch and took the game to a cautious Chievo side. In the first half Sorrentino rescued Chievo with a penalty save, while at the other end Pellissier had a possible penalty denied. The fact is that Chievo tried to absorb Inter’s pressure while failing to offer any threats in attack, and it looked the defence would see things through to the end but in the final minutes Samuel and then Milito both scored headed goals. A disappointing defeat but no lasting damage done – next week Chievo are away against former coach Pioli’s Bologna.
